Conditions of enrollment:
BA, MA or Engineer graduates of natural sciences studies may apply. Applicants will be accepted on the base of documents which they provide. The number of places is limited. During the process of enrollment the order of enrolling will be taken into consideration.

Required documents: personal questionnaire, a graduation diploma, a medical certificate confirming the applicant's ability to undertake university studies, 4 photographies, a confirmation that the enrollment fee was paid, a letter of recommendation from a parson, a photocopy of an identity card.

Obtained professional qualifications: the Politics of Environmental Protection and Nature Compensation specialist.

Studies description:
The program of postgraduate studies - the Politics of Environmental Protection - Nature Compensation includes among the others lectures and classes like:

• the politics of environmental protection
• the politics of regional development
• the legal basis of regional development
• the sources of financing of regional development
• evaluations and pricing of environmental resources
• an infrastructure in regional development
• an infrastructure of environmental protection
• an energetic safety of a country
• renewable energy
• methods of evaluation of investment projects
• medical basis of evaluation of living environmental resources on the level of population, biocenosis and landscape
• ffunctioning of natural environment on the example of forests, fields, lakes, swamp areas and landscapes
• ecological succesion on the level of population, biocenosis and lanscape
• an influence of human activities like farming, forestry, water economy, industry, linear infrastructure on the condition of living environmental resources with a special consideration the composition of species and the dynamics of the number of population
• capabilities of ecology engineering in the water, forest, field and landscape environment.
• the landscape and international law of utilization of living natural resources against the background of creation of operates of arranging forests in forest inspectorates; the plans of water economy in the water regions and the plans of protection in national parks
• the condition of natural environment in Poland against the background of the condition of natural environment in Europe
• Nature 2000 as a chance for sustainable development

And also field classes concerning:

• recognition of a species of birds in their natural environment of existence with a division into water environment, forest-free terrains with a special consideration of the important for Poland birds from the annex I and II of the Bird Directive
• recognizing natural Polish habitats in the field important for EU mentioned in the annex II, IV and V of the Habitat Directive
• recognizning soils and the principles of their functioning (cooperation of plants and animals)
• succession, regeneration and changes in natural environment against the background of economical activities of a human
• examples of ecological engineering in forest, field and water environment and within a landscape
• examples of realization of open inwestments in the Nature 2000 areas on the base of source materials.

In order to graduate one must get a pass from each of the lectures, classes and field classes specified in the curriculum and prepare a thesis under a form of a project of nature compensation concerning a real project in a particular area Nature 2000.

Graduate characteristic: Graduates of the studies have necessary knowledge and skills necessary to make and realize plans of regional development of not-urbanized areas consuming abilities of local societies, a value of the resources of nature and geopolitical situation on the base of available means of help. They also have a theoretical basis and practical skills to elaborate a project of nature compensation.

Graduates of the studies in WSKSiM can be employed among the others in:
- offices of local governments administration: commune offices, town councils, district offices, especially in their natural environment protection, gropund management and regional development units;
- offices of government administration
- non-governmental organizations aiming at promotion of natural environment and sustained development
- companies which have an influence of natural environment
- companies or offices preparing projects which concern wining resources from EU founds.
